PRITHVI Exceeds Expectations

The Cotswolds could not have wished for a better start to the 2024 Programme. The ambiance, service, food and wine were perfectly synchronised. Everyone was full of praise for our eagerly anticipated event at this award winning Cheltenham South Asian restaurant.

We took our seats after a refreshing Bergamot based aperitif was served and in quick succession received various little delights eliciting more and more appreciation at each presentation. A demi-sec was then poured and our first course arrived with the slightly sweet Collet NV champagne rounding out the spices used with the the crab and scallop.

Next on the menu was a cauliflower veloute, but not one we had seen before. Curried cauliflower nestled in black garlic and tamarind topped with puffed potato The wine pairing of a Hawkes Bay Sileni Pinot Gris provided balance.

A perfectly portioned tender fillet of beef delicately garnished by a bone marrow dumpling; a fruity sauce and rice with crispy spiced onions was accompanied by Consensus Pinot Noir-Toriga from Lisbon. This left room for Caremelia Chocolate dessert with a subtle ginger beer sorbet and Sanchez Romate Pedro Ximenez Cardenal Cisneros.

The Cotwolds commends the whole team at Prihvi and highly recommends the restaurant to fellow members. The family of restaurants located in Cheltenham and Oxford can be found at jmsocials.co.uk
